Motivational Story 

 “एक दीपक जो कभी नहीं बुझा”

गाँव के एक कोने में, मिट्टी से बना एक पुराना घर था। वहीं रहता था अर्जुन — एक गरीब किसान का बेटा। उसका सपना था कि वह एक दिन बड़ा आदमी बने, लेकिन गरीबी और संसाधनों की कमी उसके हर कदम को रोकने की कोशिश करती थी। उसके पिता दिन-रात खेतों में काम करते, और मां घर में सिलाई-बुनाई कर थोड़ा बहुत कमाती थीं।

अर्जुन बचपन से ही होशियार था। वह किताबों से प्यार करता था, लेकिन उसके पास अपनी किताबें खरीदने के पैसे नहीं होते थे। गांव की एक छोटी सी लाइब्रेरी ही उसका मंदिर थी। वह वहीं बैठकर घंटों पढ़ता रहता, खुद से सवाल करता, खुद ही जवाब ढूंढता।

एक दिन स्कूल में शिक्षक ने सभी बच्चों से पूछा, “तुम बड़े होकर क्या बनना चाहते हो?”

किसी ने कहा डॉक्टर, किसी ने कहा इंजीनियर। अर्जुन चुप रहा। जब शिक्षक ने पूछा, तो अर्जुन बोला, “मैं बड़ा होकर वो बनना चाहता हूं जिससे लोग प्रेरणा लें। एक ऐसा इंसान जो खुद रोशनी बने और दूसरों को रोशनी दे।”

कक्षा में हँसी गूंज उठी, लेकिन शिक्षक ने मुस्कुरा कर कहा, “यही सोच एक दिन तुम्हें ऊँचाई पर ले जाएगी।”

संघर्ष की शुरुआत

जैसे-जैसे अर्जुन बड़ा होता गया, जिम्मेदारियाँ बढ़ती गईं। पिता की तबीयत खराब रहने लगी, और मां को भी काम छोड़ना पड़ा। अर्जुन अब स्कूल के बाद गाँव में सब्ज़ियाँ बेचता था, ताकि घर खर्च चल सके। फिर भी वह पढ़ाई नहीं छोड़ता था। वह रात में तेल का दीपक जलाकर पढ़ाई करता, क्योंकि बिजली अक्सर गायब रहती थी।

उसके दोस्तों ने पढ़ाई छोड़ दी थी, कुछ शहर चले गए थे। लेकिन अर्जुन का दीपक अब भी जल रहा था — और वो दीपक उसकी उम्मीदों का प्रतीक था।

एक दिन, उसके गांव में एक अधिकारी आया जो ग्रामीण छात्रों के लिए स्कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम चला रहा था। अर्जुन ने परीक्षा दी, और कठिन प्रतिस्पर्धा के बावजूद उसने पहला स्थान पाया। उसे शहर के एक अच्छे स्कूल में दाखिला मिल गया।

नई दुनिया, नया संघर्ष

अब अर्जुन शहर आ गया था, लेकिन यहां का माहौल बिल्कुल अलग था। वहाँ के बच्चे अमीर थे, अंग्रेज़ी बोलते थे, अच्छे कपड़े पहनते थे। अर्जुन को शुरुआत में बहुत परेशानी हुई। उसे नीचा दिखाया गया, उसका मज़ाक उड़ाया गया। लेकिन उसने हार नहीं मानी। उसने अपनी कमजोरियों को अपनी ताकत बनाया। वह रात-रात भर अंग्रेज़ी की किताबें पढ़ता, शब्दों के अर्थ याद करता, भाषणों का अभ्यास करता।

धीरे-धीरे उसकी मेहनत रंग लाई। एक वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता में उसने पहला पुरस्कार जीता — वह भी अंग्रेज़ी में भाषण देकर। उसी दिन एक शिक्षक ने उससे कहा, “अर्जुन, तुम सच्चे योद्धा हो। तुम परिस्थितियों से नहीं डरते, तुम उन्हें बदल देते हो।”

सपनों की उड़ान

अर्जुन ने बारहवीं की परीक्षा पूरे राज्य में टॉप करके पास की। उसके बाद उसने UPSC की तैयारी शुरू की — एक ऐसा सपना जिसे पूरा करने के लिए हज़ारों की भीड़ हर साल कोशिश करती है। लेकिन अर्जुन के पास न कोचिंग थी, न नोट्स, न गाइडेंस।

उसने लाइब्रेरी में दिन-रात पढ़ना शुरू किया। वह खुद के बनाए शेड्यूल पर चलता, पुराने टॉपर्स के इंटरव्यू पढ़ता, अख़बार काट कर नोट्स बनाता। कभी-कभी भूखा सो जाता, लेकिन हिम्मत नहीं हारता।

पहले प्रयास में वह असफल हुआ।

दूसरे प्रयास में वह इंटरव्यू तक पहुँचा, लेकिन अंतिम सूची में नाम नहीं आया।

गाँव के लोग कहने लगे, “अब छोड़ दो। खेती करो, यही भाग्य है तुम्हारा।”

लेकिन अर्जुन के अंदर का दीपक अब भी जल रहा था — धीमा सही, लेकिन बुझा नहीं था।

तीसरा प्रयास — आत्मविश्वास की जीत

तीसरे प्रयास में अर्जुन पूरी तैयारी के साथ उतरा। उसने अपनी गलतियाँ पहचानी, खुद को बेहतर बनाया। उसने खुद से कहा, “अगर मैं आज हार मान गया, तो पूरी जिंदगी पछताऊँगा। लेकिन अगर अब भी लड़ा, तो चाहे हारूं या जीतूं — खुद पर गर्व कर सकूंगा।”

जब रिजल्ट आया, तो पूरे गाँव में ढोल-नगाड़े बजने लगे।

अर्जुन ने ऑल इंडिया रैंक 9 हासिल की थी।

वही अर्जुन, जो दीपक की रोशनी में पढ़ता था, आज आईएएस अधिकारी बन गया था। वह गाँव लौटा, तो सैकड़ों बच्चों ने उसकी तरफ देखा — प्रेरणा की तरह, उम्मीद की तरह।

अंत नहीं, शुरुआत

अर्जुन ने अपने गाँव में एक फ्री लाइब्रेरी शुरू की, जहाँ कोई भी बच्चा आकर पढ़ सकता था। उसने गरीब छात्रों के लिए स्कॉलरशिप फंड भी बनाया। उसका सपना अब सिर्फ उसका नहीं था — अब वह औरों के सपनों का दीपक बन चुका था।

परिस्थितियाँ कितनी भी कठिन हों, अगर संकल्प मजबूत हो तो कोई भी मंज़िल दूर नहीं।

असफलता अंत नहीं होती, वो तो सफलता की तैयारी का हिस्सा है।

खुद पर विश्वास हो तो दुनिया की कोई ताकत आपको नहीं रोक सकती।
