Ans:-    A file name has two parts - primary name and secondary name, Secondary name of the file is also called file extension. but Primary name of the file is given by the user. It can be changed.


Q.3        What is the use of secondary file name for windows? 

Ans:-        The secondary name, or file extension, identifies the file type. Windows uses it to decide which program should open the file. Example: .docx opens in MS Word, .mp3 opens in a music player.


Q.4    What is the use of Recycle Bin ? 

Ans:-    Recycle Bin is a temporary storage for deleted files and folders. It allows you to restore files deleted by mistake, or delete them permanently later.


Q.5    Write the quickest way to do followings: 

Ans:-   

a) Rename a file: Click the file once, press F2, type new name, press Enter

b. Delete a file permanently: Select file and press Shift + Delete, then click Yes

c. Move a file from Desktop to D drive: Drag the file from Desktop and drop it into D drive folder

d. Copy a few random files from Desktop to D drive: Select files using Ctrl + Click, then press Ctrl + C on Desktop and Ctrl + V in D drive
